The desire to taint all to their will drives the fanatical. Defiler warbands ravish other races by seduction and destruction alike.
Skaven[]
Bending those that do not break into the favor of the Horned Rat, the Skaven use warpstone to mutate other races in dark, unspeakable places. Prisoners face a fate worse than death at the hands of the followers of the Horned Rat.
Warpstone is woven into the very fabric and weapons of Skaven. Treasured above all other materials, warpstone is needed to power their way of life. Consuming warpstone is an honor among the highest ranks.
Those willing to accept their mutations and pledge loyalty to the Horned Rat may serve the Skaven as slaves. Some even join their ranks in search of the beloved warpstone and their, now symbiotic, relationship to the warpstone defines their role in the Skaven clan.
Cult of the Possessed[]
All those that do not worship the Shadowlord must be converted or die. Evil rituals are used to mutate non-followers so that they may taste the blessing of being warped into a higher form. Self mutilation in service must be made or the prisoners are executed.
The Shadowlord has no patience for weakness and demands sacrifice of infidels. The strongest warriors must undergo extreme mutation and prove themselves worthy of the warped power that they receive.
Wyrdstone is used in rituals and worn as talisman by the Cult. Some mutations are infused with wyrdstone. While wyrdstone is used as the precious catalyst, the Cult knows the true power comes from the Shadowlord.
Undead[]
The only thing lacking in the living is being alive. The Undead recruits and fills its ranks by fixing this inherent flaw. The living will not outlast the cold claws of the Vampire. Enticing followers who wish to keep their temporary lives and relieving those that wont of the burden, Vampires seek to bring the world under their control.
Vampires consume the soul of the unwilling, keeping the former shell as a slave. All those surrounding the Vampire is in servitude. The followers of the Vampire are aware of the power he can bestow upon them and are wanton with gratitude for every scrap of attention given.
An Undead warband are the inheritors of Mordheim and will subjugate all within to their dark and alluring power.
